The PaveSmart system can be used on projects that have smoothness and variable depth pave/cut to grade requirements. With over 300 airports and over 1000 projects worldwide no other system has been relied upon more than PaveSmart.
Variable depth paving
The PaveSmart grade paving control service offers distinct advantages to the engineer and/or contractor on any project requiring smooth, variable depth paving. The unit adapts to any paver or planer that has electric/hydraulic control, eliminates string line setup to pave, allows asphalt to be placed accurately (+/- 1/8 inch 3mm), increases productivity, and is far less costly to use in comparison to conventional methods.

Fast set up
To illustrate, survey data can be input into the PaveSmart system for a 10,000 foot 3,000 meter runway before two people can set up string line for paving over a 200 foot / 60 meter distance or establish a 3D system.
Airport runways
Thicknesses are input into the system directly from job site CAD drawings after set out with Synergy’s survey team or from designs via the Synergy Road Scanning System.
Meet critical design levels
If your company is involved in variable depth paving or milling, the grade control system from PaveSmart will be of interest to you. With the ability to control ‘depth of paving’ or ‘thickness to be cut’ on both sides of the machine, the PaveSmart grade control provides an affordable way of meeting contract level tolerances and smoothness requirements.
Survey accurate variable depth paving control
Allowance for differential compaction
Direct connection to your paver
Pave to + 1/8 inch or 3mm in precision
Survey control
Survey paving depths are input to the system directly from either your jobs geometric design files via cut sheets collected by Synergy’s experienced ground survey team or from design via the Synergy Road Scanning System or Synergy’s pavement design service.
