Role Overview

As an Engineering Surveyor with road experience, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of road infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for conducting precise land surveys, set-out, and as-built surveys to ensure construction is executed according to design specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the quality and accuracy of the projects, ensuring the timely completion of works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed topographic, boundary, and set-out surveys for road construction and civil infrastructure projects.
  • Perform high-precision surveys using Topcon survey equipment.
  • Interpret and execute engineering designs, ensuring accurate implementation on-site.
  • Provide detailed as-built data and verification surveys.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure survey requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and manage survey reports, field notes, and data in compliance with project requirements.
  • Ensure all work is carried out following industry standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Maintain and manage survey equipment and ensure its calibration and operational efficiency.

About You:

  • A degree or diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
  • Registered as a Surveyor with SBQ.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in engineering surveying, with a strong focus on road projects.
  • Experience in using Synergy Survey-Profile or equivalent systems for road profiling and surveying.
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and 12d for drafting and data management.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in survey data collection and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations related to surveying on road construction sites.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
