In June, Aptella hosted a local NZIS branch meeting at our new Christchurch office. We also joined the movers and shakers of the geospatial industry at the NZIS Survey conference that was held in Napier this year.

The local NZIS branch meeting saw around 45 surveyors attend along with Hadyn Smith, CEO from the NZIS. A couple of very interesting presentations were given by Eliot Sinclair Surveyors around the Kaiakora recovery as well as our own Andy Male who spoke about Senceive wireless monitoring solutions.

Hosted at the Napier Conference Centre, this year’s national NZIS conference was characterised by excellent session content that proved relevant, varied and included great panel discussions. As a Gold Partner of the NZIS, Aptella was an exhibitor at the event and Corbon, Andy and Jamie all attended to showcase the Z&F 5010X 3D laser scanner, GPS AeroPoints, the new iX Robotic Total station and GCX3 multi GNSS receiver.

The BIM panel saw Andy give his opinions, insight and experience with BIM in New Zealand and how we are currently adapting to the technology & workflows.
