Aptella has acquired Sydney-based Sokkia distributor Total Survey Systems (TSS) and along with it an extensive suite of geospatial solutions. This acquisition combines the strengths of both the people and products from Aptella and TSS.

Aptella is pleased to be expanding its dedicated geospatial service teams and facilities.

Topcon and Sokkia solutions have long competed in the same space and this acquisition combines the strengths of both Aptella’ and TSS’ people and products and will provide customers with improved service and an even wider range of products to choose from:

• Topcon products are strongest in civil construction, with a full suite of solutions incorporating optical, GNSS and field to office software. A true all-in-one solution;
• Sokkia products are strongest in the geospatial industry, with superior electronic distance measurement and optical strength.
